Make Your Move...

Ever played the classic board game Scrabble? Words With Friends is very similar to that game, but it seems much better. You can play with friends that you know (connected to Facebook), random people, or your Twitter followers. This game is great for your brain and it’s a whole lot of fun! There are two versions and the only difference between them is the ads.

To get started, you should connect to your Facebook for better opponents or you can get started by tapping on create game. This will search for someone random (who wants to play too). Now time to think of some tough moves. That’s what this game is all about! If you don’t have a good word/move, then you won’t be ahead of your opponent or win the game. Placing a letter on a colored tile will boost your score up dramatically (depending what letter/action it does).

Words With Friends is just loads of fun and can get really addicting very easily. Interested in playing me? Type in Friskey545 when you tap on create game and then search your opponent by username. You can also shuffle your tiles that you have and swap them out (but swapping them out counts as one turn). Make your moves wisely!

Choose A Movie and Enjoy

The iTunes Store is all about purchasing your favorite music, movies, and podcasts. Some of us don’t even know how to rent movies on iTunes. Go ahead and find a movie that you are interested in renting. Go to that movie’s page (to purchase it, read the details, etc). Tap on rent and you’re good to go!

Easy right? Well people don’t realize how long these rentals last and if you’re wasting your money or not. iTunes is probably one of the most quickest/easiest ways of renting and purchasing movies, but it can rip you off. You can find the same movie on another rental company (like Redbox, Blockbuster, even Netflix) and rent it for a cheaper price there. If you are still interested on renting movies on iTunes, then you may want to know some facts behind it.

When renting or buying movies on iTunes, they will always give you the option to purchase it in HD. If you scroll down, it will have an option to download it in SD for a cheaper price. You have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) after you’ve started viewing to finish it. Once the rental period expires, the movie will disappear from your iTunes library.

Apple Should ALWAYS Be Friendly And Open To Every Customer

Many people buy things from the Apple Store, but sometimes we want to return it for our reasons. Here’s an experience of what happened to my parents as they tried returning our iPad 2 for the iPad 3:

“I made a recent purchase at my local Apple store and got an iPad2. Now I know Apple’s products aren’t the cheapest around, but they are some of the most innovated. In any event, I heard 3 days before my 14 day return period that the iPad3 was now available. So I decided to return the iPad2 and order the iPad3. My wife asked if they would take the return because it had been used to which I said I believe so.

They did take the return, but what was so memorable to me during that experience was the way the sales person (James) handled the return and treated us. There weren’t any ill feelings about the situation; in fact he did everything right in my opinion. He handled it smoothly, professionally, and even answered questions I had as they came to mind. And it wasn’t just James who had this attitude, it was the person I spoke to before James who routed me to him (I forgot her name). My belief is that the buying experience should be just as good as the returning experience.”

The iPad 3 has finally been announced from Apple and it is ready to be pre-ordered at the moment. If you don’t pre-order, you are able to get it at March 16^th,2012. The price for this device is $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB), and $699 (64GB) for the Wi-Fi (non-cellular) kind. The cellular is 4G and it costs more than the one with just Wi-Fi. There have been some complaints that the iPad can max out your data plan in just a few minutes because of the amount of megabytes. The upside for the 4G is that it’s blazing fast compared to the iPad 2.

What Do You Think About The iPad 3?

There’s a 5- megapixel iSight camera that allows you to take photos and video wherever you go. Recording gets better with the 1080 p HD and have still images when switched to camera. Garage Band and iMovie is on this new iPad 3 and you also get a better and richer display than the older version. The text is extremely sharp, attracting colors, and there’s 3.1 million pixels powdered by the new A5X chip that they’ve put in this device. Renting Movies Is As Easy As 123

Redbox has been a growing movie rental hotspot. It is very easy to go ahead and grab a movie that interests you. Now the App Store has this application available for the three mobile devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad). You can browse through a whole entire collection of movies easily (just like if you were at a Redbox machine).

When you open the application, you have all these featured/newest movies show up first. You can go through all of them and scroll down or you can just search a specific movie you want to find. If you are looking for something new but in a specific genre, then just tap where it says all movies on the upper left hand corner and it will show you all the different genres it has.

When you have found the movie you are looking for, you can tap on “Find This Movie” and it will find a location near you. Finding the closest available place with your movie has never been this easier. Once you’ve found the destination, you can reserve it by tapping on select and logging in. Now all you have to do is go pick it up. That’s how simple this application is.

We’ve recently bought the new iPad 2 from the Apple Store and we are now available to learn and discover new things that most may not have. I have already noticed a great amount of things that have interested me already. I love how the screen is a lot bigger (makes movies a better experience) and it has some similarities to the iPhone 4.

Some of the advantages for the iPad is how it has over 140,000 applications made specifically for this device.  You can start up FaceTime, iMovie, Garage Band, and lots more (you can learn more by watching videos from your iPad Apple newsletter via e-mail). Use iCloud and photo stream (which allows you to take a picture and shows it to other devices that are connected to the same account).

The iPad also has a nice accessory called the Smart Cover. The Smart Cover only protects the front display of the iPad magnetically. This is not a full cover but it has a neat feature; like when you close the cover, the iPad will be on standby mode. When you open it back up, the screen will turn on again. You can also fold the cover and use it as a stand for watching movies and other things. It’s pretty neat and it is only $30.00. If you are interested in buying it, then click here.

Pretty Neat, Right?

Hey iPhone Fanatics,

I usually have something helpful to share with you guys, but I decided that I wanted to show something pretty neat. My sister and I were cleaning some stuff up and we found this really neat iPhone (type of thing) eraser. It has all kinds of icons that the iPhone can do/have. I think it’s pretty neat so I wanted to share this with you :3 Who knows? What if Apple got the idea just from a little eraser just like this?

Very Easy To Use!

Have you ever wished there was a way an iPod Touch can call and text all in one app? The Viber application is the perfect app for calling and texting especially for the iPod Touch. It is known to have the best sound quality, NO ADS, and very simple to use. On top of all that, it is completely free.

After you download Viber, it will ask you to punch in your cell phone number. A code will be sent to you after you’ve typed it in. This application is just like Skype and will only allow you to call/text Viber users. If they aren’t a Viber user, then get them to sign up. The Viber application is also not that great for the iPod Touch and iPad yet but they are working on it. It still works, but you may experience problems than when you use an iPhone because it works best with it for now. It’s an okay application but since it’s free, why not try it out?

If you haven’t noticed, wearing gloves and using your mobile device don’t go well together. It just won’t respond when you touch the screen. This can be bad when they are cold like during the winter time. We would have to go through all that trouble in taking the glove off and then putting it back on. There are so many word games in the App Store and one of the biggest hits seem to be Hanging With Friends. This game is actually pretty addicting once you get started and playing with your friends make it a lot better than playing with a computer. There’s a free version and one that costs $1.99 but right now it is on sale for only $0.99. The creators of the application, Zynga, also created Words With Friends.

Hanging With Friends is very much like a game of hang man, but with a better twist. There are different avatar characters you can choose and you can also chat with your opponent that you are playing with. This game can take awhile when you play it because it goes back and forth to you and your opponent so you receive their word whenever they do. If you want to play with your friends, just log into your Facebook account and send them a word. This game takes strategy and you have to think about some tough words to stump your opponent.

You get five balloons (extra lives) and you don’t want them to pop. So try to solve as many words as you can and they won’t pop. When you guess someone’s word, you get eight strikes (sometimes you get four strikes). If you go to the main menu and tap on profile, there’s an option where it says help. For new members (like me), tap on that icon and it will tell you the basics on how to play this game. There are also power ups that can help you solve the words more but some of them cost with coins.
