Apple Creating A Wristwatch

This Could Be The New Thing....

There have been some rumors going around saying that Apple is coming out with a new device in a watch like style. This is a new thing that they’ve thought of. No one knows how much this watch will cost, but here are a few things that are most likely to happen.

This watch will be a wrist watch made out of the material similar to their mobile devices. So it will have the iOS look and a glass top to make it look fancy and nice. It may also have the ability to do other things than just look up the time. Some say texting, looking up the weather, e-mail, and or similar things like the iPod Nano can do. Hopefully Apple’s new idea will be a big hit in the world of technology. What do you think about this? What have you heard?

How To Get Into A Locked iPhone Without Passcode

I found a video that shows this neat little trick. It actually allows you to get into the phone without needing the passcode. This works for iOS 6.1 but it didn’t show about any other previous iOS programs. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, then don’t do it. It’s nice to know how it works though.

First you want to slide to unlock and hit the “emergency” button. Once you’re there, you want to hold down the power button like you’re actually going to turn it off, but clicking the “cancel” button instead. The top area (where your time, service bars, and power bar shows) should be blue (instead of black). After that, you want to type 911 but then quickly cancel it so it didn’t go through and actually call anyone. Turn the screen off (by pressing the power button once) and then slide to unlock.

The next step is to hold the power button for three seconds and as soon as you’re on the third second, you want to hit the “emergency” button (while holding the power button still). This unlocks the phone without any passcode and you can view anything through the phone, but you HAVE TO HOLD DOWN ON THE POWER BUTTON THE ENTIRE TIME. If you don’t, it will shut off again and you’ll be back from where you started. Here’s the video if you want to watch it:

What’s New In The iOS 6.1 Update

The New Player Display Looks A Lot Better

A new update has arrived for our Apple devices! The first thing I thought was, what does this update even do? It didn’t seem any different than the last update, but I actually noticed some interesting things they added. They aren’t major or anything, but nice little display features or finishing touches they have given to us.

Reporting problems is now easier because they have it as a huge button (like if you go to the Google Maps icon you’ll see). This makes things so much easier to report your issues. Another thing is the music player display for the front of the screen when it’s on lock mode. If you double click it to show the pausing feature, it shows it differently with a volume change. Of course there are also bug fixes and stuff like that, but those two were the two features that were noticed.

Apple iPad Broken!

How Does This Happen...

Last night we were watching some videos on YouTube and we had some laughs. I wanted to exit out of the application, but the home button didn’t seem to work. The button was pressed multiple times and nothing responded. When the battery died, we realized that the bottom of the iPad was damaged. There was a dent near the area to charge it. Someone said they accidentally dropped it (while it was charging), but they thought it wouldn’t be a problem. We are going to take it into the Apple Store today to see what we can do. It’s most likely going to have to be a new exchange scenario or buy another iPad. What incidents have you experienced

Tips On Choosing The Perfect iPhone Developer

Let Your App Deal With The Best...

The Apple Market is just filled with fascinating devices that give us the entertainment/tools we desire. Most of this is from the applications that we buy from the App Store. Some of us may be interested in getting an application developed, but just don’t know how and what to expect when it comes to developing it. Development takes about 6 months (usually) and you would want that wait to be worth it. Here are some tips on how to choose the best app developer just for you.

Before you start looking for a developer, you need to know why you are developing the app, who your audience will be, and if it is the best on your reach to your target market. A suggestion would be to think about what your app will NOT be about. To have a successful app is to take 5% of what may be possible for a desktop experience and then putting it into a very easy to deal with app. Three things you should consider to your app developer is to ask: what is the key benefit that the user will get from the app, what other apps are competitive and will make mine the best out of them all, and what will the app do for your business. This can help with making your app the very best.

When developing the application, put what you want and what others would enjoy. Go ahead and ask the developer “how do we do this?” or “Is it possible on the iPhone?” Questions like these will be good to see if the developer can solve complex issues or think of greater things. Make sure you know what the app will do, how it’s going to function, if you want updates, how much you want to charge for the app, and the budget/price you are willing to pay for the app. Having a decent developer creating your app can be pretty expensive (like up to $10k-100k). You may be able to make some type of deal, but it’s pretty expensive stuff.

To find your developer, you can go ahead and search on Google. If you have a small project, you can go ahead and search Craigslist (they are perfect). There are other sites like Cocoa Heads and Freelancer. Once you’ve found a developer, LOOK AT EXAMPLES THAT THEY’VE DONE! This will show you what kind of quality and effort they put into their work. Go for an experienced developer because having someone brand new doing the job can become a very regretful decision (takes longer, costs your time, etc.). You also need to communicate with your developer easily. If they aren’t willing to communicate you, then find someone else.

Stick to deadlines. This will help your development go along smoothly (and not take longer to make). There’s usually detailed discussion (talking about existing requirements), initial implementation (deadline for initial version of app), final implementation (releasing the app), and support (developer should provide 3-8 weeks support once app is launched). DO NOT RUSH ANYTHING during when trying to make an app. Rushing can make you forget things or mess things up. Just make a timeline to organize things and not rush anything.

Home Share Not Working With Apple Mobile Devices

Along With Music, This Also Works For Your Movies Too.

Last night I got some new music and haven’t put it on my iPod Touch yet. I decided that since it’s all on my computer, why not just home share it? So I gave it a try and when I went to my music library (and tapped the “more” button), I noticed that the “share” option was nowhere to be found. I did some research and it seemed like all kinds of people with an updated iOS 6 are having this problem, but that isn’t the source to the problem.

I called up Apple Tech Support and they told me all of the basic things on getting home sharing to work. Like make sure you are connected to the same wireless internet that your computer is on (this also includes iPhone and iPad being connected to the Wi-Fi). Or to make sure that home sharing is actually turned on. They also told me to check (in my settings under the music section) if the home sharing account was logged in correctly and it was. Because I had all of this done and still nothing, they told me to log out and log back in. Still nothing, so they told me that I had to go ahead and uninstall my iTunes software completely.

If this didn’t work, I’d have to call back, but apparently it did. In order to uninstall everything, you need to follow the directions here. You HAVE to FOLLOW EACH STEP exactly as it is told, or else it won’t work. The only problem I had with this was that it wouldn’t get rid of my “Apple” folder. If you can’t get rid of it using Windows, then you’d have to boot you’re computer in safe mode and use the DOS command prompt. Keep following the instructions after that and then install iTunes again. Uninstalling iTunes won’t lose any of your music or anything in your iTunes library. It’s all good and that was how I was able to get my home sharing to work.

If home sharing still doesn’t work, then you are going to need to unplug your router and wait at least for ten seconds. Plug it back in and make sure that all devices are connected to the internet. Still have a problem? Turn the Apple devices on, wait for ten seconds, and turn them back on. This should do the trick. Apple iPod Touch 5 Is Now Available

Which One Will You Choose?

The new iPhone 5 has been out and now Apple is going to release their new iPod Touch 5. This new device will have many better characteristics than any other electronic device out there. They only have this device in 32GB or 64GB (16GB is no longer an option at this point). The price for the 32GB costs $299 and for the 64GB it costs $399. What’s unique with these devices is that they give you the option to choose your color to make it look a whole lot better and have a cool touch with it.

The iPod Touch 5 has a different design than how the iPod 4 was. It’s a thinner and lighter device than the iPod Touch 4. The display has definitely improved so now you can enjoy your games, movies, and photos with a much better desire. The camera has a flash with this new iPod (unlike the 4). Siri is also in this new device. It’s very similar to the iPhone 4 characteristics except there isn’t phone calling and has the greater designs like the new iPhone 5 has.

Instead of that USB Cable that was always included with every Apple device, they have given us something that changes it all with major improvements. The new cable is called Lightning Connector and it’s supposed to give your device the best power and charging experiences possible. Music can last for about 40 hours once fully charged and with video 8 hours. A fast charge (80% charge) lasts for two hours and a full charge (100%) lasts for four hours. They also give you newly designed headphones which are called Apple EarPods. They are supposed to go in your ears efficiently and give you the best quality sound ever.

This device is just the best hand held device of all time. With all the different colors they have available and the new technology, I wouldn’t miss out on getting the best newly functioned iPod yet. iOS 6 For The iPod Touch, iPhone, And iPad

It Gives Everything A New Look For The Better...

When we find out there’s a new iOS program, we just usually download it and not even read/know about what it’s about. I want to tell you what this program can actually do and how it is something we should all be excited about. Having an upgrade to anything should be a great experience and this is something that all Apple users should download when they can.

Usually, Apple is good about sending out a message asking if you’d like to download the new iOS programs (like iOS 6). Because of iCloud, you don’t actually have to plug your mobile device into your computer and sync it into iTunes. After you have the new iOS 6 downloaded, you probably may not notice that much, but really there are some huge benefits with iOS 6.

Some of the new things that they’ve added make everything seem so much better/cool. For example, if you go into your music or even the App Store, they’ve changed how the designs use to look. When you download an application, it will show you the progress on how far it’s downloaded without exiting the App Store. They’ve also added Genius, so it can be easier to find applications that suite you. It also doesn’t ask for your password when downloading applications (unless they cost), but they do ask for it every once in a while. For the people who didn’t have the iPhone 4S, this upgrade (to the new iOS 6) gives you Siri.

They’ve also added an application called Passbook which is basically an application that lets you store all your passes in one place. This includes boarding passes, tickets, store cards, and coupons. It takes you to the App Store so you can download applications that do stuff like that. The downfall about the new iOS 6 is that they’ve taken out the YouTube application and now you have to download the official application in the App Store. It’s free (unless you have an iPad it costs some unless you download the iPhone version). You could also use Safari if you want to watch YouTube videos.

What do you think about the new iOS 6? Have you found other things that you like or dislike?
